Artist statement:I wanted to create pieces that are emblematic of this time, something meaningful to me but also that would represent my culture, I wanted to bring forth the traditional aspect, but show that this was a face mask. The masks resemble a miniature dance apron and are made very similar to how I make traditional dance aprons.
